THE BENEFITS OF HYALURONIC ACID

You might have heard about Hyaluronic Acid being beneficial for the skin but what is it and how does it work?

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is naturally present in our body & keeps our skin looking healthy & hydrated. But as we age we can lose up to two-thirds of our hyaluronic acid pool. As a result our skin becomes thinner, less plump and more dehydrated.

Some skincare products contain Hyaluronic Acid in them. But topical products aren’t able to penetrate deep enough for HA to deliver its full benefits. When injected into the dermis, HA can effectively replenish healthy skin cells and repair damaged tissue for a refreshed look.

Doctor Linda Williams and our team are excited to offer our patients the Redensity Beauty Booster treatment which replenishes HA levels in the skin to prevent premature aging and maintain a plump, dewy complexion.

WHAT IS THE REDENSITY BEAUTY BOOSTER TREATMENT?

The Redensity Beauty Booster is an injectable treatment that provides essential vitamins, antioxidants and Hyaluronic Acid to the skin. It restores plumpness, smooths wrinkles and gives a youthful glow to the complexion.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The Redensity treatment involves a series of tiny injections into the skin with very fine needles. These injections penetrate only millimeters into the skin with the assistance of an electronic hand piece for additional comfort. The treatment itself takes only 30 minutes and you can return to your normal activities immediately after treatment.

Redensity refreshes the skin for natural looking rejuvenation. It lets our patients look like the healthiest version of themselves, and without looking ‘done’. In fact, many patients receive compliments on how radiant they look following their treatment. Many patients describe their results with the following words:*

  • Luminous or glowing
  • Smooth
  • Fresh, dewy & hydrated
  • Plump & resilient
  • Thicker and more firm
  • Reduced fine lines & wrinkle

Redensity Beauty Booster is ideal for patients who are looking for a subtle and natural looking improvement in skin quality without extensive downtime. Redensity is great for anyone wishing to:

  • Smooth out creases and wrinkles
  • Restore volume and plumpness to the skin
  • Hydrate the skin for a dewy complexion
  • Restore a youthful glow to the skin
  • Firm the skin

Redensity can be used to rejuvenate many areas of the body to plump the skin and improve its quality. The most popular areas for treatment are the face, neck, décolletage and hands. See your Artisan doctor to find out if you are suitable for treatment.

The Redensity treatment uses very shallow injections with very fine needles so most patients find the treatment quite tolerable. The Redensity formula also contains a local anaesthetic called lidocaine for additional comfort. We also apply a topical anaesthetic 30 minutes before your treatment to dull any unpleasant sensation.

You may return to your normal activities immediately following the Redensity treatment. However, it is common to experience bruising, swelling and redness in the treatment area, though these effects typically subside after a few days. For full details about side effects and benefits of treatment consult with your Artisan clinician.

If you would like a cover up after your treatment, we strongly recommend our Oxygenetix foundation range which is specifically designed for application following cosmetic procedures. Its breathable formula acts as a protective barrier to support skin healing and sooth irritation post-procedure.

For best results we recommend an initial 3 treatments 3 weeks apart and then a maintenance session every 4-6 months after that.

Because Hyaluronic acid is a resorbable molecule, its effects are temporary and depend on several factors including your skin type, age, health & lifestyle. After the initial 3 sessions, treatments are recommended every 4-6 months to maintain your healthy glow.
